URCICUS is an action platformer designed for the Game Boy Colour, made using GB Studio. (Disclaimer, make sure to save frequently if on emulator!)

After Veve, a mischievous jester deer accidentally shatters a giant crystal star, releasing an evil spirit hellbent on causing chaos and destruction to the world, she goes on a quest to collect the fragments in order to seal what she unleashed. Go through challenging levels with unique visuals and make your way safely to the end! Watch out,  because you die to everything in a single hit!

This game has a non-linear progression, meaning you can choose levels in any order you please!

Controls:

• A: Z or J
• B: X or K
• Start: Enter
• Select: Shift
• Move: WASD or Arrow Keys
  
• Drop down platform: S or Arrow Key "Down"

Characters:

Veve is the main character of the story, and the accidental cause of the events of the game. While she doesn't have any special abilities, her quick manoeuvres make her harder to hit compared to the other characters!


A.J. Nova is a foe-turned-ally, after being bested by Veve. By pressing "down", she can spin around rapidly, becoming immune to some enemy projectiles temporarily.

Estrella is a quick-footed snake, who is able to float when the jump button is held, making platforming a bit easier.

Appleonia is a large plush elephant, come to life by mysterious means. By pressing "down" she can shoot peanuts forward, which will deal with most enemies.

The game (demo) is playable in your browser, but upon purchase, a .gbc file and .pocket file are provided, so you can play it on an emulator/analogue pocket, as well as a .cia file so you can play it on a 3DS.
